2024 CLEANSE

Welcome to the Winter 2023/2024 cleanse! Don’t be scared off by the word “cleanse”. You are eating and cooking real food, and you will not go hungry.

what is it?

It is a 7-10 day, real food-based cleanse that deeply detoxes, resets the system, eliminates cravings, reduces inflammation, and jumpstarts significant weight loss and healthy long-term habits. You will be cooking your meals and supplementing with the Cleanse Powder and MedCaps, a cleansing supplement. I like to do this cleanse once or twice a year, like fall and spring, when you really need a reset. I see it as overall maintenance and an excellent protocol to keep our body and digestion running smoothly.

I have made myself a guinea pig over the years, trying all the cleanses and taking bits and pieces from each one to create something special. This is my favorite cleanse to do myself, and I believe it is the most impactful.

The cleanse is a practice in:

  • taking responsibility for what we eat for a week

  • taking a break from certain food groups, not from food in general

  • cutting processed, addictive convenience foods

  • realizing how easy it is to make food at home

what is it not?

It is not a gimmicky, branded, and packaged cleanse with astronaut food. You will NOT be hungry—“cleanse” isn’t synonymous with deprivation. You will make real food from simple ingredients that tastes good. You can eat as much of the approved foods each day as you want, as long as you get in the required shakes and supplements.

why 7 or 10 days?

The full 10 days allows for a slower reintroduction of foods which is helpful for determining food sensitivities, but it is not required.

is it a group cleanse?

Others may be doing it at the same or a similar time. Offering this program is a fun opportunity for me to work with a larger group of people outside my coaching practice. You won’t engage with others in the cleanse, nor will they know you are doing it.

what is required from you?

You need to pick a week to cleanse where you have no travel, social commitments, or meals out. You will be cooking and preparing all your meals from the Approved Foods list, with recipes and very clear instructions for exactly what to cook and how. Give yourself ample time in the days leading up to the cleanse to grocery shop, decide what recipes to start with, and make sure you have basic kitchen tools/containers. It is recommended, but not required, that you begin weaning off sugar, alcohol, gluten, and caffeine in advance of the cleanse to make the transition smoother.

what sets the cleanse apart?

  • You are not depriving yourself. You’re not hungry, neither are you limited in the amount of approved foods you can eat.

  • After the week is over, you will have LESS cravings, not more. You won’t be dreaming about a pan of brownies; rather, you will be excited and motivated to eat more fresh, real, healthy food. Simple pleasures like berries, nuts, eggs, and quality protein will be extremely exciting (this is my favorite part and what often motivates me the most to do it).

  • You will learn healthy habits, cooking skills, and recipes to incorporate into your life after the cleanse. Unlike other programs that provide pre-portioned/packaged meals but leave you without any tools to remain healthy after, this cleanse provides a framework for taking the habits you started into the rest of your life. You will realize how easy it is to make things at home, a major barrier to entry for people today that is very satisfying and rewarding.

how will it work?

After signing up and selecting your week, I will order your Cleanse Power and MedCaps for your, and you will receive the following documents:

  • Cleanse Overview

  • Cleanse Foods & Day-by-Day Instructions

  • Cleanse Recipes (13 pages and color-coded depending on what ingredients you can include on what days)

  • Cleanse Tips (an exhaustive list of supportive recommendations including supplements, troubleshooting, FAQs, and more)

how will I be supported?

Starting a week in advance of your start date and continuing for every day of the cleanse, you will receive nightly emails from me to prepare you for the day ahead, provide reminders, troubleshooting tips, and answer frequently asked questions. These emails are comprehensive, and I aim to answer any and all questions you have before they come up. Before your cleanse starts, I will offer additional supplement recommendations, kitchen tips and hacks, food storage and tool recommendations, and much more so that you are as prepared as possible for a successful week.

when can I start?

I am offering flexible start dates, so you tell me! Allow at least 2 weeks to ensure your cleanse supplements and protein powder arrive in time. If you have questions, concerns, or issues with scheduling, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me directly.

what does it cost?

$200. The Cleanse products, including protein powder and detox supplements, cost $100, and the rest goes towards the carefully curated cleanse structure, extensive guidance, cleanse documents, daily emails, recipes, recommendations, and 1:1 hands-on support.

This is not just the cost of a week. It is creating habits and behaviors that you will take with you long after the week is over. The first time I did a cleanse like this one in 2014, it changed my entire life, priorities, and outlook on health. It was the catalyst for the career I have today, and I still return to the tools it taught me.

For my clients, the Cleanse is only the cost of the supplements ($100).

how do I sign up?

Fill out this Google form, and submit payment via the link in the description. Reminder to allow 7-10 days for the Cleanse Powder and Supplement to be delivered to you after I order it, and before starting the cleanse.

what are people saying?

“I chose to participate in Sarah’s cleanse because I really wasn’t sure that I’d be able to do it and I was itching for a challenge in the new year. While I know intellectually that food is medicine, it is also a huge source of emotional comfort for me, and I have always struggled with controlling my impulses and with getting into a routine of planning ahead so that I’m equipped with healthy foods to opt for when cravings hit. I can’t remember a time in my life that I’ve spent an entire week being so intentional with the way I was treating my body and mind. I was so attuned to what my body needed in a really eye-opening way, and I’ve come away from the cleanse with a bunch of new tools in my belt. Sarah’s cleanse is unique in that it allows for so much flexibility and it feels like the opposite of a crash diet or off-the-shelf cleanse. I did not feel hungry; I was eating three full meals, a couple of snacks, and two shakes a day. I was cooking my own meals and feeling really creative with how I was preparing them, which was a lot of fun for me. Sarah offers a lot of information about the ways in which our body detoxes, and I learned a ton about the role food plays in that process. She was super supportive and engaged the entire week, and that really motivated me to push through the tough bits. I’ve been pleasantly surprised by how many tools and insights I’ve kept with me post-cleanse, and look forward to doing it again in the spring/summer!” - Ali B.

“Sarah's cleanse is such a fabulous way to reset your system and become aware of habits and cravings that you may not realize are so ingrained in our routines. It was a challenge, but I was so proud of myself by the end for kicking some of my habits (coffee!!) and feeling energized and productive with just the nourishment of the foods we were eating. Sarah is super supportive throughout the process, sharing tips, tricks, and recipes, and checking in daily, and she was available for any questions or concerns throughout.” - Kira K.

“Sarah, thank you for guiding us through your recent 10-day cleanse! I feel lighter, less inflamed, clear-headed and focused. I couldn’t be more pleased! Your end-of-day emails with encouragement and motivation for the next day were so helpful. Even though the cleanse was offered remote, I felt your presence and support throughout. The prep materials and tips were also key, along with all recipes. These motivated me to stay with it when the going got tough. I was originally planning on a 7-day cleanse, but I felt so good I continued to complete the 10 days. I’m still off coffee, dairy, sugar and wheat now at day 12. I look forward to doing one of your cleanses twice a year to give my body opportunities to rest, clear toxins and heal, lose extra weight, and break negative habits that creep in.” - Lisa M.

“As someone who'd thought that a serious cleanse would be painful and without immediate benefit, I was shocked that Sarah's cleanse was simple to follow, very educational, much easier than I'd ever imagined, and resulted in feeling me better and clearer almost right away. I actually felt better the longer it went… I loved this experience.” - Craig M.
